Iran’s missile capacity diminished

The United States and Israel have significantly reduced Iran's missile and drone launch capabilities through joint attacks, according to White House statements and expert analysis. This reduction follows the initiation of "Operation Epic Fury" on February 28, targeting Iranian military infrastructure. Despite these efforts, Iran retains sufficient capacity to conduct limited, impactful strikes, as evidenced by a recent missile landing in Abu Dhabi that resulted in one fatality.

Data indicates a substantial decline in Iranian projectile launches. In the initial 24 hours of the conflict, Iran fired 167 missiles and 541 drones at the United Arab Emirates. By day 15, this decreased to four missiles and six drones. Similarly, launches against Israel, which numbered nearly 100 in the first two days, have fallen to single digits. The Pentagon reported a 90 percent reduction in missile launches and an 86 percent reduction in drone attacks since the conflict's outset.

While Iran possesses the region's largest ballistic missile inventory, estimated at 2,500 after a previous conflict, U.S.-Israeli operations have focused on neutralizing launchers. Approximately 290 out of an estimated 410-440 launchers have been put out of service. Experts suggest Iran's current strategy involves decentralized, mobile launchers and harassment fire, aiming to exhaust defensive systems and maintain a credible threat through attrition, rather than large-scale volleys.
