US Coast Guard intercepts vessel carrying fuel to Cuba

The United States Coast Guard intercepted a cargo vessel, identified as the Grace, in the Caribbean Sea on September 5. The vessel was reportedly utilizing deceptive maritime tactics to transport fuel to Cuba, circumventing existing US-imposed oil embargoes. Following the interception, the ship was escorted to Mexico, where authorities confirmed the presence of large quantities of fuel in the vessel’s ballast tanks and additional containers.
