Poland Expands Defense Exports to Philippines After Helicopter Deal

Poland is pursuing an expanded defense procurement relationship with the Philippines, building on the successful delivery of 32 S-70i Black Hawk helicopters. The initial $509.6 million contract for these aircraft, finalized in August, has established a strategic foothold for Warsaw within the Philippine defense market.

New Systems Under Discussion

Warsaw is now actively targeting the export of reconnaissance and combat drones, radar systems, anti-aircraft missiles, and armored personnel carriers. Polish Deputy Foreign Minister Władysław Bartoszewski confirmed that a Philippine military delegation recently visited Poland to evaluate these additional capabilities and explore potential co-production opportunities.
