Russia Bans Aviation Fuel Exports
Russia has banned aviation fuel exports until November 30, 2026, to stabilize its domestic market following Ukrainian refinery attacks.

The Russian government announced on Monday a ban on aviation fuel exports until November 30, 2026. This measure, implemented amid ongoing Ukrainian strikes on Russian energy infrastructure, aims to stabilize the domestic fuel market. Russia primarily exports jet fuel via rail to Central Asian countries, including Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
The export restriction follows previous limitations on gasoline exports. While diesel exports have not yet been restricted, Interfax news agency reported that such measures are under consideration. Russian diesel production decreased by approximately 10% in May, building on a 10% monthly decline in April, due to Ukrainian drone attacks on refineries that reduced or halted output. Despite this, diesel exports increased during the same period.
