Rockstar plans GTA 6 PC release by March 2027, GamesBeat says
The reported window would shorten the gap with consoles sharply from GTA V, but Rockstar has not announced a PC date.

Rockstar Games plans to release Grand Theft Auto VI on PC in the first three months of 2027, ETV Bharat said in an Oct. 14 news article citing GamesBeat and four industry sources.
That schedule would put the PC edition within roughly four months of Rockstar's Nov. 19, 2026 console launch for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, versus about 19 months for GTA V.
Rockstar has not announced a PC release date. ETV Bharat also cited a Bloomberg interview at Tokyo Games Show in which Twitch Chief Executive Officer Dan Clancy said GTA 6 online will launch "next year."
The timing matters because Rockstar's biggest game traditionally moves in stages across platforms. GTA V launched on consoles in September 2013 and reached PC in April 2015, a delay ETV Bharat described as about one year and seven months.
A faster PC release would expand the audience sooner for a title whose console date has become a major industry marker. Atlas360 reported in June that Rockstar set the Nov. 19 launch and opened pre-orders for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S.
ETV Bharat said GamesBeat linked the possible PC timing to Rockstar's interest in user-generated content and online roleplaying. The article said Rockstar rolled out a closed beta version of NoPixel V last month, giving invited players roleplaying access in GTA V's Los Santos.
ETV Bharat also said Rockstar had bought the team behind FiveM, a PC modification framework used by GTA V roleplaying servers. GamesBeat argued that a meaningful role for player-made content in GTA 6 would make a PC version more important.
The report remains unconfirmed by Rockstar. ETV Bharat said several reports have put GTA 6 development spending at more than $2 billion, but the supplied material does not include a company confirmation of that figure.
Rockstar has already moved the game twice, from a 2025 window announced in December 2023 to May 2026, and then to Nov. 19, 2026. ETV Bharat said Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar's parent company, repeated the November date during earnings calls this year.
Atlas360 reported in August that Rockstar showed 26 minutes of GTA 6 gameplay, including its Leonida setting and dual-protagonist mechanics.
The next confirmed date is Nov. 19, 2026, when Rockstar has scheduled GTA 6 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The reported PC window runs through March 31, 2027, the end of the first three months of 2027, while Clancy's comment points to 2027 for GTA 6 online.
