Zetwerk secures ₹2,251 crore before IPO opens
The Indian manufacturing platform allotted shares at the top of its price band, with mutual funds taking 45.62% of the anchor book.

Zetwerk secured ₹2,251 crore from 99 anchor investors on Oct. 14, the Times of India reported, before the manufacturing platform’s IPO opens on Oct. 15.
The anchor raise equals about 90% of the ₹2,500 crore Jio Platforms IPO quota for RIL holders reported by Atlas360 on Oct. 14, according to Atlas360 calculations. Zetwerk priced the anchor allotment at ₹151 a share, the top of its ₹143-to-₹151 range.
Anchor investors are institutional buyers allotted shares before a public issue opens. Zetwerk sold 14.91 crore equity shares in the anchor portion, with BlackRock, Capital Group, Goldman Sachs, Nomura, Société Générale, First Sentier Investors, Natixis, Manulife, Carmignac and Eastspring Investments among overseas participants.
Sovereign investors in the allocation included Norway’s Government Pension Fund Global and Abu Dhabi Investment Authority. Domestic mutual funds received 6.8 crore shares, equal to 45.62% of the anchor allotment, across 22 funds.
The Indian mutual-fund buyers included SBI Mutual Fund, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, HDFC Mutual Fund, Mirae Asset Mutual Fund, Tata Mutual Fund and Aditya Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund. Seven life insurers, including SBI Life Insurance, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance and Bajaj Life Insurance, were allotted 1.1 crore shares, or 7.39% of the anchor portion.
The anchor book followed Zetwerk’s institutional roadshow, where the company sought backing for its technology-led manufacturing business and its exposure to energy infrastructure and industrial equipment. The public issue is scheduled to run from Oct. 15 to Oct.
