Nongshim marks Shin Ramyun’s 40th year with New York expansion
Nongshim is celebrating the 40th anniversary of Shin Ramyun at New York’s KOOM Week 2026, using exhibitions and food trucks to expand its US market presence.

Nongshim is showcasing the 40-year history of its Shin Ramyun brand at New York’s KOOM Week 2026, held in Manhattan’s Flatiron district from Oct. 14 to 18. The South Korean food company is participating in the festival for the second consecutive year to highlight its international growth and connect with local consumers.
Shin Ramyun is sold in more than 100 countries, serving as a primary driver for the company's global expansion. Through its pavilion, Nongshim aims to share the business challenges it faced while building the brand, targeting startup founders and investors attending the event.
Beyond the exhibition, Nongshim is collaborating with New York-based food brand Everydaily to operate a food truck on 23rd Street. The menu features dishes such as a Shin Ramyun pork cutlet burger and various tteokbokki preparations, designed to demonstrate the versatility of Korean instant noodles to local residents.

KOOM Week 2026, organized by the nonprofit United Korean Founders, runs from Oct. 12 to 18 across Manhattan. The event includes pop-up exhibitions, an Investor Day, and K-pop performances, with BuildBlock managing the design of the exhibition spaces. Last year’s iteration, held in Brooklyn, drew approximately 13,000 visitors.
"Marking Shin Ramyun’s 40th anniversary, we are pleased to share the brand’s heritage with founders and investors in New York, where Korean brands and culture are coming together," a Nongshim representative said. The company intends to continue using global platforms to communicate its spirit of innovation.
