DC Comics launches Starfire solo series in All-In initiative

DC Comics is expanding its All-In publishing initiative with a new solo comic series centered on Starfire, marking a rare departure from her long-standing role within the Titans team. The project, written by Alyssa Wong, follows the character's recent exit from the Titans and focuses on her return to her home planet, Tamaran.

Starfire, a character created by Marv Wolfman for The New Teen Titans, has historically been defined by her alien origins and her inability to return home. While previous iterations, including the New 52 reboot, frequently depicted Tamaran as a site of destruction or conflict, the upcoming series aims to revisit these roots. The narrative is expected to explore whether Starfire will assume a leadership role on her home world or continue her search for a permanent residence.

This solo run represents one of the few

Industry observers anticipate the involvement of Komand’r, also known as Blackfire, given her established role as the protector of Tamaran and her complex relationship with her sister. This solo run represents one of the few instances where the character has been featured outside of a team-based book, following a 12-issue series by Jimmy Palmotti and Amanda Conner that ran from 2015 to 2016.

Beyond the comic series, DC has confirmed that an animated project featuring Starfire is currently in development. These initiatives signal a broader effort by the publisher to elevate the character's profile across multiple media platforms.
