Chinese carmakers take 25 of 60 slots at Paris auto show
The Paris show gave Europe-bound Chinese brands a high-profile showcase as EU-China auto trade tensions continue.

Chinese carmakers accounted for 25 of 60 brands shown at the Mondial de l’Auto in Paris, Euronews reported in an article published Oct. 19.
The Paris car show drew about 500,000 visitors this year, making it a significant consumer showcase for Chinese marques entering Europe, compared with 60 total exhibitors at the event.
Euronews said brands including Zeekr, Changan, Denza and AITO used the biennial show to present vehicles to European visitors, many of whom were seeing the models directly for the first time.
The presence of Chinese automakers comes as Europe and China remain in dispute over car trade. Euronews said the backdrop includes a new arrangement limiting hybrid-car exports from China to the EU and Chinese companies producing vehicles in European factories to avoid tariffs.
The report did not provide sales figures, pricing or market-share data for the Chinese brands at the show. That leaves the commercial impact of the strong public interest unclear.
