The indicated that Trump's modifications aimed to make the deal more stringent, with the revised framework now sent to Iran for consideration. This development prolongs negotiations that began after the U.S. and Israel initiated conflict with Iran on February 28.

Reports indicate that Trump's revisions focused on reinforcing key aspects of the deal, including the disposition of Iran's nuclear material. A senior U.S. official informed that Iran's response could take approximately three days due to communication challenges. The official stated that while a deal is anticipated, its finalization timeline remains uncertain, potentially extending beyond a week as the U.S. awaits Iran's review of the new conditions.

Trump's stated priorities for any agreement include Iran's commitment to forgo nuclear weapons development and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, a critical waterway for global oil transit. Concurrently, Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters reasserted control over the strait on Saturday, issuing warnings to foreign vessels regarding compliance with passage regulations.
