Russia's Kharkiv Strikes Kill 10, Damage Infrastructure

Russian forces initiated extensive missile and drone attacks across Ukraine on Saturday, resulting in at least 10 fatalities in Kharkiv. The coordinated strikes also inflicted damage on critical infrastructure in Kyiv and other regions, prompting renewed calls for international air defense support.

The predawn assault involved 480 attack drones and 29 missiles, targeting 22 distinct locations. Kharkiv experienced a direct hit on a five-story residential building by a ballistic missile, leading to the deaths of a primary schoolteacher and two children.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized the ongoing threat to both residential and critical infrastructure. Ukraine, possessing four years of experience in countering Shahed drones, has offered its expertise to U.S. and Middle Eastern leaders. The nation has also proposed exchanging its interceptor drones for more advanced Patriot missile systems to bolster its defensive capabilities.
