Presight reported a sharp increase in second-quarter earnings, saying stronger domestic contract wins and higher international revenue supported the result. The Abu Dhabi-based analytics and artificial intelligence company said profit rose 30% from a year earlier to Dh116.8 million.
The company linked the quarterly improvement to what it described as record order intake in the UAE. Presight said it secured Dh2.5 billion of domestic orders during the quarter, a level it presented as a key driver of its performance.
UAE order intake pushes backlog to Dh4.9 billion
Presight said its backlog climbed 44% to Dh4 Presight said its backlog climbed 44% to Dh4.9 billion. Backlog is commonly used by investors to gauge future revenue potential for project-led businesses, because it generally represents signed work that has not yet been recorded as revenue. The company described the higher backlog as evidence of a wider pipeline of contracted projects as it scales deliveries across government-linked and enterprise clients. It also attributed the backlog increase to the quarter’s record UAE order intake, pointing to improved visibility on upcoming work if delivery and billing proceed as planned. While the company highlighted greater visibility on future work, the timing of when contracted projects convert into recognised revenue typically depends on delivery schedules and billing milestones. Presight indicated that translation from backlog into recognised revenue will remain a key area of attention for stakeholders.
Government-linked and enterprise clients remain central
Presight said it continues to target government-linked and Presight said it continues to target government-linked and enterprise customers, which can generate large project awards. The company positioned its higher earnings alongside what it said was a larger pipeline of contracted work, consistent with its approach of building scale through major client programmes. In the UAE, Presight has positioned itself as a data analytics and AI operator serving public-sector and large enterprise clients. The company noted that demand tied to state-linked entities can lead to sizable contracts, while also contributing to quarter-to-quarter variation in awards and order intake. International revenue increases alongside domestic reliance Alongside the Dh2.5 billion domestic order intake, Presight said international revenue increased, adding to its growth narrative outside its home market. The company framed the overseas contribution as part of its expansion beyond the UAE, even as the size of local orders kept attention on the weight of domestic demand in overall activity.
Presight’s next quarterly update is expected to be watched for evidence that the Dh4.9 billion backlog is translating into recognised revenue. Another focal point will be whether new order intake remains steady and whether international sales become a more stable contributor, based on future company disclosures.
