Nvidia RTX Spark reaches 115 FPS in laptop benchmark

Tom’s Guide said its Surface Laptop Ultra tests favored Apple on CPU performance, while Nvidia’s GPU result stood out in DLSS gaming.

Nvidia RTX Spark reaches 115 FPS in laptop benchmark

Nvidia’s RTX Spark reached 115 frames per second using Deep Learning Super Sampling, Nvidia’s AI upscaling tool known as DLSS, in Surface Laptop Ultra testing, Tom’s Guide said in an article captured Oct. 15.

The result is nearly double the 60 FPS level commonly used as a smooth-gaming benchmark, and RTX Spark systems are entering premium professional PCs; Atlas360 reported Oct. 11 that MSI priced an RTX Spark convertible from $3,299.

Tom’s Guide framed the benchmark as a split outcome. Its headline said Apple led in CPU testing, while Nvidia’s GPU performance exceeded the outlet’s normal testing scale.

The supplied material says the testing covered gaming, AI and battery performance. It does not provide the AI scores, battery-life figures, CPU benchmark numbers or a full comparison set against Apple hardware.

The 115 FPS gaming figure supports Nvidia’s positioning in high-performance mobile graphics, but the captured text does not show whether the system sustained that level across workloads or under battery constraints.

The broader context is Nvidia’s effort to expand beyond data-center AI chips into more parts of the computing stack, including professional PCs and robotics-linked hardware exposure. Atlas360 reported Oct. 13 that Nvidia’s China AI-chip share fell to 34%, according to IDC data, as U.S.

export curbs reshaped that market.

The next evidence point would be fuller benchmark disclosure across CPU, GPU, AI and battery tests, including comparable Apple results and thermal or power data.
