Israel Deploys Advanced Defense Systems to UAE

Israel deployed advanced defense systems, including a version of its Iron Beam laser defense system and the Spectro surveillance system, to the United Arab Emirates. This deployment aimed to enhance the UAE's defense capabilities against missile and drone attacks.

The Iron Beam system is designed to neutralize short-range rockets and drones. The Spectro system provides detection capabilities for incoming drones up to 20km away.

This action represents a significant instance of defense cooperation between the two nations, following the 2020 Abraham Accords. Israeli military personnel were also deployed to operate these systems, alongside previously supplied Iron Dome units.

Israel also provided real-time intelligence regarding missile launch preparations in Iran targeting the UAE. This support occurred during a period when the UAE faced a high volume of missile and drone attacks.

This collaboration involved the rapid deployment of systems, some of which were prototypes or not fully integrated into Israel's own defense network. The move underscores deepening security ties and shared regional threat perceptions.
