Google is set to launch the Fitbit Air, a new screen-less wearable, on Thursday, May 7, 2026, asourceser a short teaser campaign on Instagram.
Fitbit’s Instagram account posted a teaser on May 6 with the caption “Buckle up. 5.7.26.” The images show a shiny metal buckle and a light blue strap.
The device is expected to keep the Fitbit name for hardware, while sosourcesware will move to a new “Google Health” app alongside a “Premium” subscription service. Google Health is expected to use a new heart-shaped icon in Google’s colors.
The launch is scheduled less than two weeks before Google I/O, a timing that suggests Google wants the Fitbit Air to have its own news cycle rather than being overshadowed by the company’s annual developer conference.
