GMEX buys 30% of MediaMeta.Ai for exclusive AI access
The robotics company revised the consideration to 15% cash and 85% shares, while MediaMeta.Ai’s robotics-focused social intelligence remains in development.

GMEX Robotics said in an Oct. 14 press release it closed the purchase of a 30% fully diluted stake in Alpha Meta AI Pte. Ltd., which operates MediaMeta.Ai.
The Nasdaq-listed robotics company said the deal gives it exclusive access to MediaMeta.Ai’s technology. The 30% holding is a minority position, compared with GMEX’s option to increase its investment and become the controlling shareholder.
GMEX said the consideration was revised to 15% cash and 85% GMEX common shares, with a 24-month lockup. The release did not disclose the valuation, the cash amount or the number of shares to be issued.
“MediaMeta’s social intelligence technology is an important component of our vision for machines that better understand the people around them,” Sam Lu, GMEX Robotics chief executive officer, said in the press release.
The company said the valuation remained unchanged under an Oct. 14 amendment to a definitive share purchase agreement dated July 28. Fully diluted ownership refers to a stake calculated after potential shares are counted.
GMEX framed the investment as part of its Terminal + Brain (Intelligence) platform, which combines robotics hardware with an AI layer for context-aware decisions. It said MediaMeta.Ai’s models are intended to help AI systems interpret human behavior and social context.
The main caveat is development stage. GMEX said MediaMeta.Ai’s current business focuses on digital content, AI applications and generative engine optimization, while its social-intelligence capabilities for robotics applications are still being developed.
GMEX said the companies plan to begin collaboration immediately, initially selecting use cases and development priorities in consumer markets, transportation and logistics, industrial automation and resources exploration.
Separately, GMEX said it is seeking suitable U.S. acquisition targets, but has no binding agreements or understandings and gave no assurance it would complete any such deal.
