The global IT services landscape is undergoing a structural shift as emerging firms challenge the long-standing dominance of Indian outsourcing providers. This transition is evidenced by the declining market influence of established Indian entities and the rapid expansion of competitors from Southeast Asia and Latin America.
Vietnam has emerged as a primary hub for this growth, supported by state-backed digital infrastructure initiatives and significant foreign direct investment in semiconductor fabrication and research and development. The country’s economic expansion, currently exceeding 8% annually, is increasingly driven by a tech-focused industrial strategy.

FPT, a major Vietnamese technology firm, has scaled its operations to include 85,000 personnel across 30 countries. The company reported approximately $2.7 billion in total revenue for 2025, with overseas outsourcing contracts growing by 30% year-on-year.
Strategic focus has shifted toward AI-first service models, quantum computing, and cybersecurity. By integrating proprietary transformation frameworks with partnerships involving major Western technology providers, these firms are positioning themselves to capture market share in complex enterprise digital transformation projects.
