Eswatini Accepts Four US Deportees, Total Now 19

Eswatini has confirmed the arrival of four additional individuals deported from the United States, bringing the total number of such deportees to 19. The latest group, consisting of two Somali nationals, one Sudanese national, and one Tanzanian national, arrived in Eswatini on Wednesday night after a flight originating from Phoenix, Arizona. This development is part of an ongoing arrangement established during the Trump administration.

These deportations fall under a broader U.S. policy that involved agreements with several nations to accept non-citizen deportees. A congressional inquiry by Democratic members of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee previously revealed that the U.S. government disbursed over $32 million to five foreign governments for these specific arrangements.
