Drone Strikes U.S. Diplomatic Facility in Iraq

A drone struck a major U.S. diplomatic facility in Baghdad, Iraq, on Tuesday, March 10, amid ongoing U.S.-Israeli military actions against Iran. The incident, which caused no injuries, occurred at the Baghdad Diplomatic Support Center, located adjacent to Baghdad airport, impacting near a guard tower.

Individuals at the facility were instructed to "duck and cover" following the strike. Reports indicate that a total of six drones were launched towards the compound, with five reportedly intercepted. The attack is attributed to the Islamic Resistance in Iraq, an umbrella organization of Iran-backed armed groups.

This event follows the commencement of U.S. and Israeli military operations against Iran on February 28, which have been met with retaliatory strikes by Iran on Israeli and U.S.-allied bases in the Gulf region. Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has threatened to block oil shipments from the Gulf if U.S. and Israeli attacks persist.
