Taiwan Enhances Defense with New HIMARS Drills

Taiwan's military recently demonstrated the operational capabilities of its new High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS), simulating a defense against a potential invasion. The exercise, conducted on the island's central western coast, showcased the American-made mobile rocket system's ability to engage targets and swiftly relocate, a tactic referred to as "shoot-and-scoot." This maneuver is crucial for enhancing battlefield survivability by evading counter-strikes.

This marks the first time Taiwan has deployed the precision weapon on its western shores, following a previous test off the east coast last year.
