IO Interactive dates 007 First Light Switch 2 launch for March 18
The Switch 2 version is listed at $69.99 as its default Deluxe Edition, with a GoldenEye suit tied to pre-orders.

IO Interactive dated the Nintendo Switch 2 version of 007 First Light for March 18, 2027, in a trailer reported by ComicBook on Oct. 15, with Nintendo’s eShop listing it at $69.99.
The date matters because Switch 2 players are getting the Deluxe Edition by default at the same $69.99 price as the standard edition on other platforms, while that Deluxe upgrade costs $10 more elsewhere, ComicBook reported.
The Switch 2 Deluxe Edition includes four costumes, four gadget skins and one weapon skin, according to the report. Players who pre-order the Switch 2 version also get what IO Interactive described as an exclusive GoldenEye suit.
ComicBook said the suit matches the outfit Pierce Brosnan wears in part of the 1995 GoldenEye film, including the patterned tie. The trailer shows the cosmetic applied to Patrick Gibson’s version of James Bond.
The Switch 2 port has moved through several timing windows. ComicBook reported that IO Interactive delayed the Switch 2 edition before the May release of the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC versions, first targeting later in the summer, then March 2027, before narrowing the date to March 18.
The release is also expected to include the free Extended Operations update at launch. ComicBook said that update added New Game Plus, a mode that lets players replay after finishing while carrying over progression, and additional TacSim missions, referring to the game’s tactical-simulation challenges.
One point is still uncertain: how long the GoldenEye suit remains exclusive to Switch 2 pre-orders. ComicBook reported that dataminers had found a GoldenEye outfit label in files on other platforms, though the visible model appeared to be a placeholder rather than the final skin.
The next dated test is whether the Switch 2 version arrives on March 18, 2027, after the earlier delay and roadmap shift.
