Cruise Ship Crew Implicated in Child Pornography Ring

Cruise Workers Linked to Child Pornography U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials confirmed on May 7, 2026, that dozens of cruise ship workers, including some from Disney Cruise Line, were implicated in child pornography offenses following inspections in San Diego. This development highlights ongoing efforts by federal authorities to address illicit content among international maritime crews.

Between April 23 and April 27, CBP officers boarded eight cruise ships docking in San Diego. During these operations, 28 workers were interviewed as part of an active investigation. Of these, 27 individuals were found to have either possessed, received, sent, or transported child pornography.

The implicated individuals included 26 crew members from the Philippines, one from Portugal, and one from Indonesia. Following the confirmation of their involvement, their U.S.

visas were canceled, and they were repatriated to their respective countries of citizenship. A Disney Cruise Line spokesperson stated that the involved employees are no longer with the company, emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy and full cooperation with law enforcement.

No information regarding formal charges has been released by officials.
