AWS, Superblocks unveil private cloud AI build platform

Amazon Web Services has partnered with development platform Superblocks to release an integrated product suite aimed at building and deploying artificial intelligence applications entirely inside secure virtual private cloud environments.

The companies said the release, called Superblocks 3.0, launched on August 3, 2026 and is designed to keep enterprise data, proprietary code, and AI inference within existing security boundaries rather than sending them to external networks.

Private-cloud “vibe coding” for enterprise teams

The product centers on bringing “vibe coding” into corporate infrastructure, described as generating applications through AI prompts instead of writing code manually. In this setup, organizations can develop AI-driven apps while maintaining the same perimeter controls they already use for their internal systems.

Superblocks 3.0 connects natively with AWS services including S3, Aurora, Bedrock, and Identity and Access Management. Officials said that because of this native integration, existing governance and access controls apply automatically to applications generated through the platform.

The companies said the architecture is intended to ensure that both enterprise data and the underlying AI inference models remain within the designated AWS environment. The aim is to reduce exposure associated with routing information outside established corporate security zones.

Smart Router targets cost control and model volatility

To improve backend performance, the platform includes a Smart Router feature that dynamically selects the most suitable AI model for a given enterprise task. The company said this approach can cut inference costs by up to 30%.

Superblocks also positioned the routing layer as a hedge against volatility from external model providers, with the of insulating developers from abrupt shifts in pricing, licensing conditions, or service availability. The company described the router as providing a structural buffer when model options change.

Expanded security tooling and recent industry concerns

The platform expands security capabilities to include continuous vulnerability enumeration monitoring, static analysis tools, security agent swarms, private package registries, and custom policy agents. These features are presented as part of a broader effort to tighten governance around internal AI application development.

The launch follows a recent wave of cybersecurity incidents involving major external models from providers including OpenAI and Anthropic, the source said. Those incidents have increased skepticism among enterprise security teams about external AI integrations, helping drive interest in localized governance approaches.

Flex rollout and availability via AWS Marketplace

Financial services company Flex has already used the architecture for a company-wide operational rollout, according to the company. Flex deployed 70 internal applications across 18 departments, running AI workflows entirely inside its AWS private cloud environment without routing data through third-party servers.

Superblocks 3.0 is available through the AWS Marketplace and supports configurations ranging from fully managed software-as-a-service to hybrid and on-premises deployments. The release comes four months after Superblocks 2.0 introduced early governance features in April 2026, highlighting a rapid product cycle focused on enterprise AI adoption under tighter security controls.

While the companies described cost and governance benefits, the extent to which the approach reduces risk across different enterprise setups will depend on how organizations implement the security controls and routing choices within their own AWS environments.
