Zilch plans £77m London HQ as UK staff capacity doubles
The payments platform says the Victoria office will fit more than 400 employees and support European expansion from spring 2027.

Zilch announced in a Financial IT trade-press report on Oct. 19 that it plans a £77 million, 10-year investment in a larger London headquarters at 40 Grosvenor Place.
For executives and investors, the move is a capacity signal: Zilch said the 33,160-square-foot Victoria office can house more than 400 employees, more than doubling its London office capacity from its current base.
The payments platform, which said it has 6 million customers, will occupy the fourth and fifth floors of the building. It has been based at 111 Buckingham Palace Road since January 2024 and expects to relocate in spring 2027.
Philip Belamant, Zilch’s co-founder and chief executive officer, said: “It has been a transformational year for the business with a number of significant milestones, and our customers moving beyond £8 billion of spend across every region in the UK.”
The office decision follows other growth announcements cited by the company, including its planned acquisition of Fjord Bank, a multi-year partnership with Visa and its role as Arsenal FC’s Official Way to Pay. Zilch said the Fjord Bank deal is expected to complete in the first half of 2027 and support European expansion.
City Minister Lucy Rigby said: “This is a major milestone for Zilch and it’s brilliant to see their continued success. The UK is a fintech powerhouse and I’m committed to backing the sector to thrive and grow.”
The report did not give Zilch’s current headcount, the number of jobs it plans to add or detailed financial terms beyond the £77 million investment over 10 years. PATRIZIA is the building’s investment manager, represented by CBRE and Knight Frank, while XIX represented Zilch.
