Riverhead Farmers Market moves to Hallockville’s Naugles Barn
The Riverhead Farmers Market will open its winter season at Hallockville Museum Farm on Nov. 7, hosting over 45 vendors in a newly renovated barn.

The Riverhead Farmers Market will launch its winter season on Nov. 7 at the Hallockville Museum Farm, marking the sixth location for the nonprofit organization since its inception. The market will operate Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. inside the museum’s newly renovated Naugles Barn, providing a heated indoor space for vendors and shoppers through April 2027.
Market Manager Rachel Stephens, who leads the nonprofit Riverhead Farmers Market Inc., said the move provides a stable environment after years of rotating through various downtown sites and local businesses. The barn features kitchen facilities and restrooms, accommodating approximately 30 to 31 vendors weekly. More than 45 vendors have registered for the season, with a waiting list currently in effect.
The partnership aims to sustain agricultural activity at the museum property during colder months while connecting visitors with North Fork producers. Hallockville Executive Director Marianne Della Croce said the collaboration aligns with the museum's mission to support the local agricultural identity. The market will offer a range of products including produce, meats, baked goods, and artisan crafts.
