An Argentinian development studio, Trick Studio, is reportedly developing a current-generation port or remaster of the 2013 video game, "The Wolf Among Us." This development, corroborated by recent evidence, suggests an upgrade to the original title is underway, potentially for modern consoles. Trick Studio has been co-developing the sequel, "The Wolf Among Us 2," with Telltale Games since last year, with the sequel rumored for a 2027 release.
Evidence supporting the port includes images from Trick Studio's internal work, showing development builds of the first game with technical overlays and debug data. These images depict familiar in-game locations and the original menu interface. Additionally, the studio's public website, before being updated, listed two projects in March 2025: one for "The Wolf Among Us 2" and another explicitly identified as a port of the first game.
While official confirmation from Telltale Games is pending, the findings indicate a technical overhaul of the original game. This initiative is separate from the sequel, which is being developed on Unreal Engine 5, contrasting with the original's proprietary Telltale engine.
