Amazon's Prime Video will introduce a new subscription tier, Prime Video Ultra, in the U.S. on April 10, 2026, replacing its existing Ad Free option. This new tier, priced at $4.99 per month, will offer enhanced features including up to five concurrent streams, up to 100 downloads, and exclusive access to 4K/UHD streaming.
The Prime Video Ultra subscription aims to provide premium ad-free streaming with advanced capabilities. Existing Prime members will continue to receive the core Prime Video benefit, which now includes HD/HDR and Dolby Vision, at no additional cost. The base Prime membership remains at $14.99 per month or $139 per year.
The introduction of Prime Video Ultra aligns Amazon's streaming service with offerings from other major streaming platforms, providing consumers with more choices for their viewing experience. An annual Prime Video Ultra plan will also be available for $45.99, representing a 23% discount compared to the monthly rate.
