Perot Museum to double exhibition space with outdoor expansion
The Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas plans to double its exhibition space with a new outdoor ‘living laboratory’ focused on natural forces.

The Perot Museum of Nature and Science announced plans this week to double its exhibition space through a major campus transformation. The project centers on an outdoor expansion designed to function as a living laboratory in downtown Dallas.
According to a press release from the museum, the initiative aims to provide immersive, hands-on experiences that are not feasible within the constraints of indoor galleries. The outdoor space will focus on natural forces, including weather, water, energy, and biodiversity.
"Guests will experience the forces that shape the world — from earth, water, air and weather to energy, biodiversity and the interconnected systems that sustain life," the museum stated in its announcement. The expansion is intended to advance the institution's mission of engaging the public with the natural world through direct interaction.
