Nebius Secures Major Meta AI Deal

Amsterdam-based AI infrastructure firm Nebius Group announced on Monday an agreement with Meta Platforms to supply up to $27 billion in AI computing capacity over five years. This deal, disclosed on March 16, 2026, involves an initial commitment from Meta to purchase $12 billion worth of AI capacity by 2027 across multiple locations.

An additional $15 billion in capacity is available for Meta to acquire over the subsequent five years if not sold to other clients, bringing the total potential value to $27 billion.

This agreement underscores the increasing demand for specialized AI infrastructure and the strategy of major U.S. tech companies to secure GPU and power resources from dedicated AI cloud providers. Nebius, which utilizes Nvidia chips in its data centers, aims to leverage such contracts to fund the expansion of its core AI cloud business. Nvidia recently invested $2 billion for an 8.3% stake in Nebius.

The contract follows previous significant deals for Nebius, including a $3 billion agreement with Meta in November and a $17.4 billion deal with Microsoft in September. Nebius reported a net loss of $250 million on revenue of $228 million in the fourth quarter of 2025, but anticipates an annualized revenue run rate between $7 billion and $9 billion by the end of 2026, up from $1.25 billion at the close of 2025. The company's 2026 guidance remains unchanged.
