Manchester City fall 3-0 to PSG after defensive first-half collapse

Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca said his side deserved a better result against Paris Saint-Germain, pointing to missed opportunities and a lapse in defensive balance during the first half of the match. City trailed 3-0 by halftime, a deficit Maresca attributed to a rapid succession of goals that disrupted his team's momentum.

"I think we start quite good until the first goal and then we concede the second one after one minute," Maresca said. "That created some bad feelings."

Despite the lopsided scoreline, the manager noted an improved performance after the break. "Second half, we were much better and probably deserved something more," he said. "We created enough to deserve something more."

City now turns its attention to domestic competition, with a Premier League fixture scheduled for Saturday. Maresca emphasized the need to maintain focus, stating, "We are sorry for the first half for sure. Saturday is a Premier League game and we need to continue our run."
