The New Orleans Saints are evaluating the future of running back Alvin Kamara following the free-agent acquisition of Travis Etienne. Kamara's recently restructured contract includes only $3 million in guaranteed money, providing the team flexibility to trade or release him. Kamara, who has previously expressed disinterest in playing for teams other than the Saints, could also retire. In the 2025 season, Kamara played 11 games and recorded a career-low 657 scrimmage yards, a significant decrease from his average of at least 1,160 scrimmage yards in his first eight NFL seasons.
