Haiti will play its Concacaf Nations League quarter-final first leg against the United States in Miami on Nov. 14, moving the nominal home fixture after regional authorities approved an exceptional venue relocation.
The fixture was originally scheduled for Kingston, Jamaica, before Concacaf authorized the shift to South Florida. International governing bodies have barred Haiti from hosting international fixtures domestically since July 2021, with United Nations estimates showing that violent gangs control roughly 90% of Port-au-Prince, including the national stadium.
While the relocation cedes geographic neutrality
Concacaf confirmed that the exceptional hosting arrangement permits the team to stage the home leg within its opponent's home country due to the ongoing security instability. While the relocation cedes geographic neutrality, the Miami area is home to nearly 500,000 residents of Haitian descent, offering substantial local support compared to the average attendance of 297 spectators Haiti drew across two qualifying matches at Kingston's Sabina Park.
Regional organizers confirmed that individual approval will remain required for future fixtures until conditions inside Haiti permit a safe resumption of domestic matches.
