Ravens Trade for Crosby Fails

The Baltimore Ravens' attempt to acquire defensive end Maxx Crosby from the Las Vegas Raiders failed due to a physical examination. Ravens General Manager Eric DeCosta confirmed the trade could not be completed after Crosby did not pass the team's physical, citing a knee injury. Discussions between DeCosta and Raiders General Manager John Spytek had progressed significantly, with both teams reportedly nearing an agreement.

The trade process, which included standard medical evaluations, revealed the impediment. DeCosta stated that the decision to halt the acquisition was based on the medical staff's assessment, emphasizing his responsibility to the Ravens organization. The failure to complete the trade occurred after substantial negotiations, preventing Crosby from joining the Ravens' roster.
