EMA completes 5 board procedures on accounts and appointments
The European Medicines Agency’s summer board actions covered 2025 accounts, meeting minutes and alternates for human and veterinary medicines committees.

The European Medicines Agency Management Board completed 5 written procedures from June 4 to Sept. 22, 2026, according to an EMA document published Oct. 14.
The notice records administrative decisions rather than clinical findings. Evidence grade: Claim (no study cited). The actions matter because EMA committee membership underpins the agency’s medicine-review governance across the European Union.
The board adopted the agency’s final accounts for the 2025 financial year and approved minutes from its 132nd meeting through written procedures, the EMA document said. The minutes procedure ended on Aug. 10, 2026.
Three procedures concerned alternates on EMA scientific committees. Hrvoje Rimac was appointed CHMP alternate after Croatia’s proposal, with a mandate starting June 6. Mette Linnert Jensen was appointed CHMP alternate after Denmark’s proposal, with a mandate starting July 14.
Eftychia Aravidou was appointed CVMP alternate after Greece’s proposal, with a mandate starting Sept. 19.
CHMP refers to the Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use, which assesses human medicines. CVMP refers to the Committee for Veterinary Medicinal Products, which handles veterinary medicine assessments.
The document also gave a periodic overview of renewed memberships in CHMP and CVMP, as required under a Management Board decision dated March 18, 2010. The listed national representatives included members and alternates from Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, the Netherlands and Slovakia.
The EMA document did not report any disputed vote, clinical decision, medicine approval or change in regulatory standards. Its scope was board governance, appointments and administrative record-keeping.
