NCAA Men's Tournament Seeds Announced The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) announced on March 15, 2026, the top four seeds for its men's basketball tournament, with Duke, Michigan, Arizona, and Florida securing the No. 1 positions. Duke was designated the No. 1 overall seed, leading the East Region, while Michigan heads the Midwest, Arizona the West, and defending champion Florida the South.

Regional semifinals and finals for the Midwest will be held in Chicago, for the West in San Jose, California, for the South in Houston, and for the East in Washington, D.C. Florida, despite a recent 91-74 loss to Vanderbilt in the SEC tournament finals, maintained its top seeding. The Gators are pursuing a second consecutive national championship, a feat previously achieved by Billy Donovan's teams in 2006 and 2007.

The selection committee also granted an at-large bid to Miami (Ohio) as a No. 11 seed in the Midwest Region, despite their 31-1 record and a loss in the MAC tournament. Miami (Ohio) will participate in a First Four game against SMU. Oklahoma and Auburn were the first two teams excluded from the 68-team field.
