AppLovin investors face Nov. 16 lawsuit deadline
Bleichmar Fonti & Auld said the California case alleges AppLovin misrepresented the strength and development of its AI-based advertising products.

Bleichmar Fonti & Auld LLP said in an Oct. 12 press release that AppLovin investors face a Nov. 16 lead-plaintiff deadline after a class action tied to a 19.6% share drop.
AppLovin is an advertising solutions company whose products use artificial intelligence models to match advertisers with prospective customers, according to the law firm. The 19.6% decline followed quarterly revenue of $1.92 billion, below consensus estimates of $1.94 billion; the shortfall was $20 million, or about 1%, according to Atlas360 calculations.
The complaint, captioned Talbot v. AppLovin Corp., et al., No. 26-cv-10584, is pending in the U.S.
District Court for the Northern District of California, Bleichmar Fonti & Auld said in the press release.
The law firm said the lawsuit brings claims under Sections 10(b) and 20(a) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 against AppLovin Corporation and certain senior executives. The allegations have not been adjudicated in the supplied material.
According to the complaint as described by the law firm, AppLovin told investors its AI models were “constantly improving” and that “we don’t really see a reason why that’s going to slow down.” The complaint alleges delays in a generative AI video tool limited improvements to the company’s AI model.
Bleichmar Fonti & Auld also cited a July 13 Bank of America Securities analyst note saying “AppLovin’s eCommerce footprint expanded at a slower pace in June.” The law firm said AppLovin shares fell 12.6% that day, from $506.80 on July 10 to $442.85 on July 13.
A lead plaintiff is the investor seeking to represent the class. The next procedural step identified in the release is the Nov. 16 deadline for investors to ask the court to appoint them to that role.
