Daybreak Game Company and Cold Iron Studios have announced Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2, a cooperative third-person shooter, for release this summer. The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series consoles, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
The sequel expands upon its predecessor by supporting up to four players, an increase from three, and introduces enhanced squad mechanics. Players assume the roles of Colonial Marines engaging Xenomorphs in survival-focused combat scenarios. The game emphasizes coordination among fireteam members, leveraging unique class abilities, and adapting to escalating encounters.
Key features include a wider variety of Xenomorph enemy types and the introduction of a customizable Specialist class. This new class allows players to combine abilities from different archetypes, enabling tailored gameplay experiences. Additionally, Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 will launch with dedicated Horde Mode maps, challenging players to withstand waves of enemies for rewards.
