Yubico frames AI cyber risk around 3 effects
The authentication company linked AI to speed and scale in attacks while pointing to customer, e-commerce and subscription momentum.

Yubico AB’s CEO Jerrod Chong cited three AI-linked effects on cyberattacks during the company’s Q3 2026 earnings call at 9:30 a.m. EST on Nov. 5, according to a Seeking Alpha transcript.
For investors, Yubico’s three-part Q3 2026 risk framing was broader than the two demand areas Chong singled out: business customers and overall e-commerce. The transcript did not include Q3 revenue, earnings or guidance figures.
Chong said Yubico was strong in its customer business and was growing in e-commerce, with demand from both business customers and end customers. He also said the company had a strong gross-margin position and continued to invest in subscriptions.
“Clearly, this is the age of AI,” Chong said on the call. Combining known attacks with AI brings “speed” and “scale,” he said, allowing attacks to move quickly and reach many people or companies at once.
The transcript segment identified the first two effects Chong discussed but cut off as he introduced the third. That limits the read-through from the call to management’s qualitative comments on cybersecurity demand and product positioning.
Chong also pointed to wider public awareness of cyberattacks and said countries and regions were adopting policies and regulations to raise cybersecurity practices. The transcript did not specify the jurisdictions, rules or deadlines.
Atlas360 reported on Nov. 5 that Yubico launched YubiID, a service linking identity verification with credential enrollment and recovery. The launch fits the enterprise-authentication market that Chong discussed on the call.
The investor questioners listed for the call included Simon Granath of ABG Sundal Collier, Thomas Nilsson of Nordea Markets and Georg Attling of Pareto Securities. The transcript segment did not include their questions or management’s answers.
