Veteran wide receiver Scotty Miller is taking part in the Chicago Bears’ rookie minicamp on a tryout basis as he looks to earn a place on the team’s 90-man offseason roster.
Miller has not signed a free-agent deal asourceser spending last season with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Bears head coach Ben Johnson said the receiver has a previous connection with wide receivers coach Antwaan Randle El, who worked with Miller during his early years with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
A sixth-round pick in 2019, Miller won Super Bowl LV with Tampa Bay following the 2020 season. His most productive year came in 2020, when he posted 33 receptions for 501 yards and three touchdowns. Asourceser four seasons with the Buccaneers, he spent one season with the Atlanta Falcons before joining the Steelers.
