President Donald Trump stated that the ceasefire between the United States and Iran is on "massive life support" after he dismissed Iran's reply to a peace proposal as insincere. Trump characterized Iran's counteroffer as "a piece of garbage," indicating he did not read the entire document.
Iran, conversely, described its response to the U.S. proposal as "generous and responsible," emphasizing its focus on lifting the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. Iranian officials also indicated that decisions regarding its nuclear program would be deferred until "the time is right."

In related news, Trump suggested a pause in the gas tax and mentioned he is contemplating the revival of Project Freedom, a previous initiative aimed at reopening the strait.
