Katie Zacharia Selected as White House Press Secretary

The administration has selected conservative commentator Katie Zacharia to serve as White House press secretary. This appointment follows the departure of Karoline Leavitt, who vacated the position in late August. Confirmation of Zacharia’s formal acceptance of the role remains pending.

Zacharia’s professional background includes a tenure as a spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security. She currently serves as a communications adviser for the Trump Media and Technology Group, the parent company of the Truth Social platform.

This transition marks a shift in the administration’s communications strategy, moving from a former staffer to an individual with direct ties to the president’s private media enterprise. The appointment signals a continued focus on aligning executive communications with the administration’s proprietary digital media infrastructure.
