The Lewis family, owners of Tottenham, has formed a consortium with the Checketts and Eccles families, submitting a formal offer to the NBA.
This consortium brings extensive experience in professional sports management and large-scale venue development. David Checketts, a prominent member of the Checketts family, has a notable background in senior positions within the NBA itself. His family has also been involved with other major sports entities such as Real Salt Lake and the St. Louis Blues. The Eccles family has contributed to significant sports venue projects, including those for the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.
Levy Leads Competing Bid
In a parallel development, former Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is leading a separate bid. His consortium includes Liberty Global and MSP Sports Capital, setting the stage for an intriguing rivalry between Tottenham’s current owners and its former chairman for control of the potential NBA franchise.
