Skyridge High School's football team defeated Corner Canyon 37-27, marking a significant upset in the Region 3 title race. The Falcons' defense forced five interceptions, ending a multi-year losing streak against the Chargers that extended to the 2022 state championship game.

Early Defensive Blitz Secures Lead

Skyridge established an early 21-0 lead in the first quarter, driven by a relentless defensive performance. Junior linebacker Jackson Horsley intercepted a pass, returning it 31 yards for the opening touchdown. Shortly after, junior defensive back Ethan Schriever recorded an 83-yard pick-six, further extending the Falcons' advantage.

Surprise Onside Kick Recovery

Following Schriever's touchdown, Skyridge executed a successful onside kick, recovering possession and setting up another scoring opportunity. Sophomore running back Ului Faletau capitalized on the field position with a seven-yard touchdown run, contributing to the Falcons' dominant start.
