Capcom released a free update for Resident Evil Requiem on May 7, 2026, adding a new minigame mode called “Leon Must Die Forever,” alongside bug fixes across platforms.
New mode unlocks asourceser the main story
“Leon Must Die Forever” becomes available asourceser players finish the main story. The mode sends players back through previously visited areas for continuous combat, featuring stronger enemy variants, five escalating difficulty ranks, and a time-based challenge.
Players can fill an enhancement gauge by defeating enemies to unlock “enhancer abilities” exclusive to this mode for Leon S. Kennedy. The order and progression of areas, as well as the available enhancer-ability options, vary between runs to boost replayability.
Bug fixes and PC controller support
Capcom said the update includes various bug fixes across all platforms. On PC, it also adds support for the DualSense wireless controller’s adaptive triggers, haptic feedback, and motion sensor features.
Resident Evil Requiem is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
