Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice has been medically cleared to participate in training camp following successful arthroscopic knee surgery, head coach Andy Reid confirmed on Friday. The clearance marks the return of a primary offensive target after Rice underwent a debridement procedure in May to address lingering knee issues.

The recovery process occurred concurrently with a 30-day jail sentence served by Rice for a probation violation, which concluded on June 16. According to team staff, the receiver remained at the facility throughout his rehabilitation period to ensure readiness for the upcoming season. While medical staff will continue to monitor his progress, the team expects him to participate in scheduled drills immediately.

The roster status for other personnel remains mixed as the team prepares for camp. Undrafted rookie wide receiver John Michael Gyllenborg continues to manage a knee sprain sustained during the offseason program. Team officials indicated that Gyllenborg is undergoing further evaluations and is unlikely to participate in significant training camp activities in the near term.
