Pipestone Area Schools routs LeSueur-Henderson 35–7 in season finale

Pipestone Area Schools defeated LeSueur-Henderson 35-7 in their regular-season finale on Tuesday, Oct. 20, at Paulsen Field. The victory relied on a stifling defensive performance that limited the Giants to 155 total yards.
The Arrows' offense gained at least 330 yards for the second consecutive week. Quarterback Zayne Zollner completed 11-of-18 passes for a 61.1 percent completion rate, throwing four touchdowns with no interceptions. Troy Clark-Chaulsett led the receiving corps with five catches for 95 yards and three touchdowns, while also contributing a 21-yard touchdown pass to Luka Quist.
Linebacker Mason Fruechte recorded 19 tackle points
Pipestone’s defense held the Giants to 3.7 yards per play, forcing multiple fumbles. Linebacker Mason Fruechte recorded 19 tackle points, while Zack Sneller returned a forced fumble 22 yards. The team established a 21-0 lead by halftime and maintained control through the second half, triggering a state-mandated running clock for much of the fourth quarter.
The two teams were scheduled to meet again in the first round of the Section 3AA Tournament on Tuesday, Oct. 27. Head coach Scott Boomgaarden noted that the familiarity of playing the same opponent in back-to-back weeks could provide a strategic advantage for his squad.
