Paras Healthcare draws 39 anchor funds before IPO
Exchange circulars showed the hospital operator allotted shares at 693 rupees each before its Oct. 21 offering.

Paras Healthcare allotted 9,415,584 equity shares to 39 anchor funds at 693 rupees apiece, exchange circulars showed on Tuesday, raising 652.5 crore rupees before its initial public offering. Reaction pending.
The anchor placement sets the top-end institutional reference price for the IPO, which is scheduled to open on Oct. 21. Anchor books are watched in Indian listings because they show early demand from institutional investors before bidding opens to wider investor categories.
Anchor book sets IPO marker
Data showed the allotment was made at 693 rupees per share, with the total anchor allocation adding up to 652.5 crore rupees. The circulars named 39 funds as anchor participants, giving Paras Healthcare a funded base before the public subscription window begins.
For the company, the immediate equity-market test is whether demand from retail and non-anchor institutional buyers follows the anchor allocation.
If the IPO price holds at 693 rupees and subscription demand is broad, the listing would add another hospital operator to India’s public healthcare universe.
For the sector, the deal adds to investor attention on private healthcare providers, where pricing power, occupancy, insurance penetration and hospital expansion plans shape margins. If demand weakens after the anchor round, comparable healthcare issuers may face a narrower valuation window.
The next dated catalyst is Oct. 21, when the Paras Healthcare IPO is set to open and subscription data will begin showing demand across investor categories.
