Integris Health seeks lower costs in Risant Health merger

Integris Health plans to merge with Risant Health, and the Center of Family Love broke ground on a $30 million Piedmont campus on Tuesday, KFOR reported on Oct. 22.

The two items show different scales of Oklahoma health and social-service investment: Integris operates a statewide hospital and clinic network, while the Bravera project is a single $30 million campus.

KFOR reported that Integris is among the state's largest private employers and serves patients across Oklahoma. Integris hopes the Risant Health partnership will make its goals easier to reach and lower the cost of health care, according to the report.

The report did not include financial terms for the Integris-Risant transaction, a closing timetable, governance details or any required regulatory approvals. It also did not specify the size of Integris's workforce.

The Center of Family Love broke ground on the Bravera Life Center in Piedmont, KFOR reported. The facility is intended to help Oklahomans with intellectual and developmental disabilities move from high school toward the workforce, according to the report.

KFOR also reported that a caiman alligator, previously flagged by the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office as loose in August, was captured Tuesday night near its home.
