Sharma also said the organization is dropping the “Micrososources Gaming” name and returning to “Xbox” branding. The change was described as having been received positively inside the company.

Sharma also referenced a next-generation console effort codenamed Project Helix. The project is slated for developer alpha versions in 2027, with a focus on performance and cross-platform compatibility across Xbox and PC games.
