Dubai Investments cuts DIP stake by 20% in IPO
Subscriptions open Oct. 27 with a 5,000-dirham minimum application before planned trading on Nov. 11.

Dubai Investments plans to sell a 20% stake in DIP Holding through an initial public offering, with subscriptions opening Oct. 27 and a minimum application of 5,000 dirhams.
The offer gives local equity investors a new route into a Dubai-linked holding company before the shares are expected to begin trading on Nov. 11. The company announced the stake size and application threshold in IPO materials released Monday.
DIP stake heads to market
The transaction centers on Dubai Investments reducing its ownership by one-fifth through a public sale. The supplied terms do not include the final offer price, valuation range, book size or expected proceeds, so the market test will depend on demand during the subscription window.
For Dubai Investments, the mechanism is straightforward: selling 20% of DIP Holding can broaden the unit's investor base while leaving the parent with a continuing exposure if it keeps the remaining stake. For the local equities market, the offer adds another listing candidate to a regional pipeline that has relied on state-linked and large corporate issuers to draw domestic and international funds.
The main uncertainty is pricing.
If the valuation lands at a level investors accept, the deal would support Dubai's IPO calendar and give DIP Holding a public-market benchmark. If demand is weaker or pricing is reduced, the effect would be narrower for global equities but more relevant for UAE issuance sentiment.
The next dated marker is Oct. 27, when subscriptions are set to open. Trading is scheduled for Nov. 11, giving investors roughly two weeks between the start of applications and the planned market debut.
